Incorrect remaining entitlement in the leaver wizard

Why the leaver wizard can show the wrong holiday balance after you change the leaving date, and how to fix it.

Each time you change an employee's final employment date, the leaver wizard reruns the remaining holiday calculation instead of starting from scratch. If you changed the leaving date several times, the remaining entitlement can end up wrong.

To fix it, check the entitlement history in the employee's planner settings. Then change their entitlement back to what it was before you used the leaver wizard.

📌Note: The leaver calculator shows the employee’s normal holiday entitlement, without any time off in lieu (TOIL) or carryover. PeopleHR deducts any TOIL booked before the leaving date from the TOIL entitlement.

PeopleHR calculates the remaining entitlement as:

Entitlement × weeks worked ÷ 52, minus leave taken, plus holiday carried over, plus total TOIL
