A ripple triggers for the employees in its linked query. If a ripple email went to the wrong people, check the recipients, the ripple and the query. Each check starts in HR Admin:

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

Check the email recipients

If the ripple triggers for the right employee but emails the wrong people:

  1. Click Ripple then click the pencil icon next to the Email step.

  2. Click Next until you reach the recipients page.

  3. Check that everyone listed is correct, then click Save.

Check the ripple

To see which employees the ripple triggered for:

  1. Click Ripple then select the ripple that triggered for the wrong people.

  2. Click In Progress to see who has the ripple open.

  3. Click Archived to see who has finished the ripple.

If the employee appears in either list, they were in the linked query at some point. To check the linked query:

  1. Click Ripple then click the star icon next to the relevant ripple.

  2. Click the pencil icon, then check the linked query.

Check the query

Check the query's filters to see why the employee appeared in it:

  1. Select the query linked to the ripple.

  2. Click Edit, then check the filters.

If you still can't see why the ripple triggered for the employee, raise a case and include:

  • The employee the ripple triggered for

  • The date the ripple sent the email

  • The names of the query and ripple

  • Any changes to the query or ripple
