Lock and unlock days to prevent or enable holiday requests

Lock days in the company planner to prevent employees from booking holidays on those days.

On the company planner, to prevent employees from being able to book a holiday on a certain day, as an administrator, you can lock down a half-day or full-day.

As an admin, you can lock days for specific departments or locations, or for the full company.

Currently, you are unable to lock days per employee.


Lock down a day or a half day

To lock down a day, or half day, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Access Button image then click Planner.

  2. Select the relevant Office and Department.

  3. Select the relevant date and click Lock this Day​​​​​​.

  4. Select the duration and click Confirm.

📌Note: When you lock a half day or a day, you see a padlock on it within the employee's personal planner.


Unlock a day

To unlock a locked day, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Access Button image then click Planner.

  2. Select the relevant Office and Department.

  3. Select the relevant date and click Unlock this Day​​​​​​.

  4. Click Confirm.

What if an employee needs to book a holiday on a locked day?

Unlock the day for the office or department, book the employee's holiday, and then relock the day.

Can you lock days in bulk?

It is not possible to lock days in bulk in the system.

Can managers and users with access rights lock days?

No, only system admins can lock days in the system.

Can I lock a day for one specific user?

No, days can only be locked for whole offices or departments.

Can the system automate locking days?

The system cannot automate locking days. This would be a manual process.
