If the error persists and you have Ripple, ensure you have no processes linked to a query for the ATS such as Applicants.

Ripple processes can only run against active employee accounts. If there is a Ripple linked to ATS, you get an error when adding new starters. To overcome this, unsubscribe from the Ripple.
