As a PeopleHR administrator, with the Advanced Document Loader tool, you can upload documents describing their location path from your local computer in an Excel spreadsheet which you convert to CSV format.
Set up the tool
Before running the Advanced Document Loader tool, follow the below steps:
Download the tool then create an API key with access to all employee and document endpoints.
Create a CSV file following the format below:
EmployeeID: Check the employee's ID in their personal record.
Description: Assign the document name for upload.
Path to doc: Copy the path of the file for the specific document and enter into this column for each individual employee's documents.
Category: This is the document category which you see in PeopleHR. With this entry, you can also create new categories.
Run the tool
To upload your employees' documents in PeopleHR, follow the steps below:
Open the Advanced Document Loader tool.
Copy your API key and paste it here.
βUsing the Input CSV list, select the location of the CSV file:
Set the access flags for employees and managers.
πNote: All managers and employees have access to all their own documents.
Click Start Upload.
You have an audit with the original columns and a new status one at the end showing whether it was loaded or failed. If failed, correct the record and upload again.
