The group by attribute allows you to select the attribute that is used to organise the data in your visualisation.
Group by is an action that subdivides the data, such as subject members or events, by an attribute.
Example: Turnover Rate can be grouped by Tenure, allowing you to see the percentage of employees who left the organisation across the tenure ranges.
To change the Group By attribute, click the Group By picker, then search for and select an attribute.
Attribute values can be arranged in multiple levels.
Example: The Organisational Hierarchy may contain the Company and Department levels. By default, the visual will show groupings and attribute values from the top level.
To change the level of the Group By attribute, follow the steps below.
Ensure your visualisation is grouped by an attribute that has more than one level, such as Organisational Hierarchy.
Click the Group By picker in the visual title, then click Select level of.
Select the level of the attribute you want to group by.
