In the Personal tab, the email field is the one where the email added is the one for logging into the system. This is the email address where all system-generated emails would be sent.
This will be the email that is used by the system and would typically be a work email, but it can be a personal email if no work email is available.
Within the Contacts tab, the field is designed to store any other email addresses the user may have.
These have no involvement with the system other than additional information you wish to have for additional contact purposes.
