Time off in lieu (TOIL) allows employees to take extra time off instead of receiving overtime pay for working additional hours. It offers flexibility, letting employees balance extra work with personal time later.

To add or deduct TOIL from an employee's record in PeopleHR, follow the steps below.
Click Access Button
then click Employee.
Click the relevant employee then click the Planner tab.
Click Settings then, next to TOIL, click Add.
Next to the Add button, click + or - icon as required.
Enter the relevant amount of TOIL.
If required enter an expiry date, then click Save.
π€Tip: If the employee doesn't use the TOIL by the expiry date, it's removed from their balance. To prevent this, leave the Expiry Date field blank.
If you've entered an expiry date, you can't edit this later. As a workaround, follow the steps above again to either deduct and re-add the TOIL now or, once it's expired, re-add the TOIL.
