Set up holiday carryover

Configure holiday carryover.

In PeopleHR, before the new year, you can specify a carryover rule for the whole company or per location. Holiday carryover allows unused holidays to be carried over to the next year.

To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click Settings then click the Holiday & Absences tab.

  3. From the Location drop-down menu, select the relevant location.

  4. In the Max Holiday Carry Over Days and Max Holiday Carry Over Hours fields, enter the maximum carryover.

πŸ“ŒNote: If some employees' holiday entitlement is in days and some employees' is in hours, you need to populate both of these fields.

Just below those options, you can also set an expiry date for carried over annual leave where you can choose the month the carried over leave will expire.

If you missed setting the holiday rule before the new year, as an admin, manually add the carryover value to the employees' current holiday entitlement.
