As a PeopleHR admin, you can update the salary records in bulk. You can either:

Upload data with CSV file

With the PeopleHR Salary Bulk Updater tool, as a PeopleHR admin, you can create new employee salary records from a CSV file in bulk.

To do so, follow the steps below:

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: The entitlement is carried over and increased based on the percentage the salary is increased by.

  1. Open the CSV template.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: Once you've had a look at the example rows, remove these and replace them with real data.

    • Don't rearrange the columns.

    • Columns A, G, I and J are mandatory.

      • Column A represents the ID.

      • Column G represents the new salary.

      • Column I represents the reason for the change.

      • J represents the currency.

    • To ensure your import is successful, test with one or two employees.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: You can't delete errors in bulk.

  2. Open the Tool file then Create an API key containing the salary records and paste it here.

  3. Set an effective date then select the output location of the audit.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: In the audit, you can review the validation messages.

  4. Click Update People then select the relevant salary CSV file.

  5. Click Open.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: It's not possible to automatically round users' salaries up.

The salary updater tool cannot update if a users previous salary has two of the same entitlement names. You can amend the entitlement to show an overall increase of the same entitlement or create a new entitlement name to record within the salary in order to use this tool to update salary entries.
