If holiday requests appear as pending in the planner after being approved, this indicates that the authorisation process requires multiple approvers to respond to the request before this can be considered approved or declined.

This happens when the authorisation rule in settings is set to All Must Approve or Approvers must Approve in order specified.
Holiday request stuck on Pending
I have approved a holiday, there is nothing left on my authorisations page, however the holidays on the planner still appear as Pending.
