Manager capabilities in PeopleHR.

We described below all aspects of using PeopleHR as a manager user type.


Starting with PeopleHR

When your company launches PeopleHR, you need to complete the following four actions:

  1. Welcome email: You receive a welcome email containing your login link. Set your password and use the link for future access.

  2. Create your password: Ensure it's eight characters including one capital letter, one small letter, one symbol and one number.

  3. Confirm your details: Ensure your personal details are correct.

  4. You're ready to go: On this page, there is a short tutorial video to give you some insight into the system, but once you are ready, click Let’s Go and you will now log into your PeopleHR system.

Details

Dashboard

Depending on your permissions and what PeopleHR features your company benefits, you can view some of the below icons.

  • Have a quick read of your holiday statistics. Click the My Dashboard icon:

  • Check out the news published in your company, comment or add your own news. Click the News icon:

  • Complete any ripple or view the archived ones. Click the Ripple icon:

  • View a timeline of changes in the system. click the History icon:

  • Start new missions or view the past ones. Click the Mission icon:

  • Request a holiday and view the holiday statistics. Click the Holiday icon:

  • View your teams' new members and absences. Click the People icon:

Company Planner from
Access Button

View holidays and other leave within your team. Select which employees you wish to view.

The planner may work in the form of a heat map. This explains why different days are shown in different colours.

Me

Overview

View a few basic details about your employees.

Planner

Within the employee's planner, you can view their attendance information, their sickness percentage, annual leave entitlement, Bradford Factor score, and Sick Days Heat Map.

You are also able to:

Personal

View your employee's personal and job details. You can't amend these details.

Documents

View certain documents if you have been granted access. You may also, in certain circumstances, you can add documents.

Logbook

Your HR team may wish to use this tab to store additional information against their record.

Some of these logbooks you may be able to fill out yourself, whereas others may only be available for your HR team to record the details. Your employee also may also be able to fill out some of their own logbooks.

If you see a plus icon, you can add that type of logbook. You can then add the information required in the logbook and hit Save to record the data.

Skills and Thanks

Show appreciation towards your employee in the form of a thanks badge.

Each thanks badge links to a particular set of skills. In Skills, view which skill points you've received.

Performance

Your company may have a performance module. From here you can undertake performance reviews and submit feedback to your managers.

You can launch your company performance review and view past performance reviews.

Me

Planner

Within your planner, you can keep an eye on your attendance details and log timesheets and assignments.

Personal

You can view your job information, and your salary and if your system administrators permit you, you can also upload your own photo.

Documents

You may also be asked to sign certain documents. If you see that a signature is required, you are able to click the pending and electronically sign documents.

Logbook

Your HR team may wish to use this tab to store additional information against your record.

Some of these logbooks you may be able to fill out yourself, whereas others may only be available for your HR team to record the detail.

If you see a plus icon in the top left-hand corner of the logbook screens, you can add that type of logbook. You can then add the information required in the logbook and hit Save to record the data.

Contacts

Maintain and update your personal contact information, your emergency contact details and if required by your HR team your bank details too.

Skills and Thanks

Your company may have enabled the Thanks functionality within the system. This is a way of giving or receiving acknowledgement in means of thanks badges. From your thanks tab, you may view what Thanks badges you have received or given.

Any thanks badge you received links to a particular set of skills in Skills.

Performance

Your company may have a performance module. From here you can undertake performance reviews and submit feedback to your managers.

You can launch your company performance review and view past performance reviews.

Documents

View the company documents HR shared with you. They may also add links here you may need to access.

You can download and view documents from your system. You can also access them through the PeopleHR mobile app.

Thanks

If your company opts to use the Thanks functionality, you can thank your colleagues from here. You can also view all the Thanks badges everyone received.

Tasks

View your own personal tasks. You can also assign new tasks to your colleagues.

Authorisations

View the status of any requests you make in the system. These could be in the form of holidays or other events, timesheets, logbooks, and expenses and whether they have been approved or declined or are still pending.

Reports

You may also have access to one report. This shows the top facts about your company. Simply click the report to run.

Notifications

Get alerts of any relevant activity in the system and recap any amendments you've made to your record.

Org Chart

The organisation chart shows who reports to who in your company. You can use the zoom feature, filter by companies, locations, and departments, and are also able to export the org chart to a PDF.


Reset your password

To reset your password, from the login screen, click Forgot Your Password.

📌Note: By default, the manager won't see the leavers list as this is an admin-only area.
