Changing the Measured in field within a users planner settings will require a few steps to be taken to ensure everything is applied correctly.
To amend the field you will need to follow the steps below:
Click Access Button
then click Employee.
Select the specific user then click Planner.
Click Settings then enter the new value into the measured in field.
You will then need to adjust the entitlement for their This year and Next Year values to match what this is now being measured in, the system does not action this for you and will be a manual adjustment.
If a work pattern change is then also required once the above has been done you will then be able to adjust the work pattern where the system will then provide a pro rata value based on the old work pattern to the new in the correct measured in value.
Changing how the entitlements are measured [Hours/Days], will update the whole planner. Thus, employees who have their holidays previously booked in hours will be presented in Days. However, the duration of those holidays will be affected:
For the holidays that are after to the work pattern, effective date:
Holidays which were added in Hours as a 'A day or more', they will be considered as one day regardless of the originally booked duration.
Holidays which were added in Hours as a 'Less than a day', they will be considered as half a day regardless of the originally booked duration.
For the holidays that are prior to the work pattern Effective Date, the system will save the duration for as it was entered originally.
For example, if you've entered one hour leave, it will be considered 0.13 day, as 1 divided by 7.5 is equal to 0.13, as the 7.5 is the default day duration that the system uses for this calculation.
