Company documents tab missing from left hand side

If the company documents tab is not showing on the left hand side go to the user record who cannot see this and check their edit access rights.

The company documents is set to view as default but can be changed to none, meaning they will not be able to view this tab and this can be changed back to view.
​
As default, a standard user has access to the company documents tab, the only way to have users not view this tab at all is through edited access rights.
