To create this background ripple, you have to build a query to pull the required sickness data. To create a ripple, you will have to follow the below 3 steps in this exact order:

  1. Create a query.

  2. Create the ripple process.

  3. Link the ripple to the query.

Create the query

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click Queries then click the plus + icon.

  3. Select Absences then the following fields:

    • Sick Start Date

    • Sick End Date

    • Sick Added On

    • Sick Added By

  4. Click Next, then select Sick Added On.

  5. Click Please select and click Today.

  6. Click Next and name the query.

Create the ripple

Once you've created the query, you need to create the ripple process by following the steps below.

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Go to Settings and select Ripple.

  3. Click the plus + button, then select the ripple type as Background.

  4. Set the status as Active, then name it and write a description.

  5. Click Add step:

    • Add Step Type as Email.

    • Write the contents of the email.

    • Select email recipients.

    • Click Save.

  6. Click Save at the top of the page.

Now that the ripple process is created, you can get to the last step to link the query to the ripple.

Link the ripple to the query

Since you are already on the ripples table screen, follow the steps below.

  1. Next to the ripple you created, click the star icon then click Add New Item.

  2. Create a name for the item, then select the relevant query.

  3. Enter the relevant number of days to repeat the ripple.

  4. Click Save.
