A length-of-service ripple will send automatic custom emails to users when their length of service anniversary is due or approaching.
To create this background ripple, you have to build a query to pull the required sickness data. To create a ripple, you will have to follow the below 3 steps in this exact order:
Create a query.
Create the ripple process.
Link the ripple to the query.
To set up a length of service ripple for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service, you will need to create one query and one ripple per length of service duration.
Create the query
Click Access Button
then click HR Admin.
Click Queries then click the plus + icon.
Click Length Of Service In Month, then Next.
Select Length Of Service In Month, then Please select.
Select Equals, then enter the number of months.
📌Note: If you wish to be notified before a 5-year anniversary, enter in 59 months.
Click Next and name the query.
Create the ripple
Once you've created the query, you need to create the ripple process by following the steps below.
Click Access Button
Go to Settings and select Ripple.
Click the plus + button, then select the ripple type as Background.
Set the status as Active, then name it and write a description.
Click Add step:
Add Step Type as Email.
Write the contents of the email.
Select email recipients.
Click Save.
Click Save at the top of the page.
Now that the ripple process is created, you can get to the last step to link the query to the ripple.
Link the ripple to the query
Since you are already on the ripples table screen, follow the steps below.
Next to the ripple you created, click the star icon then click Add New Item.
Create a name for the item, then select the relevant query.
Enter the relevant number of days to repeat the ripple.
Click Save.
Repeat the steps again for 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service if you wish.
