Create or edit logbooks

Using the logbook designer.

With the Logbook Designer, you can create custom logbooks and edit existing logbooks.

To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click Settings then click Logbook.

  3. Click the + icon then select In Use.

  4. Enter a name and description for the logbook.

  5. Select Update, View, or No Access, as required.

  6. Click Add New Field then select In Use.

  7. Select the field type then enter the relevant text.

  8. Select whether it's mandatory, private, and shows in the list.

  9. To add another field, click Add.

  10. To change the order of the fields, drag and drop them.

  11. To preview the logbook, click the page icon then click Save.

Once you've created your logbook, you can now specify who can access it.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: Any changes made to active logbooks on a user's record, will result in all the data being lost and not retrievable. We suggest saving the data from those logbooks before amending any field or information.

Managed list and Combo field types can't be edited, and the size of boxes is not amendable.
