If the ripple email is triggering for the correct employee, but sending the email to the incorrect recipients, you will need to follow the steps below:

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click ripple then click the pencil icon next to the Email step.

If the ripple email is triggered for the wrong users, you will need to check the following areas:

  • The ripple

  • The query

The ripple

You will first need to check the ripple to find out exactly which users it has triggered for.

To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click ripple then select the ripple which has actioned incorrectly.

  3. Click In Progress to see which users currently have the ripple open.

  4. Click Archived to see which employees have finished the ripple.

If you see the employee within either of those fields, you know that the employee has appeared within the linked query at a certain point in time.

You will then need to check the ripple to see which query the ripple is linked to.

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click ripple then select the star icon next to the relevant ripple.

  3. Click the pencil icon then check the query which is linked to the ripple.

The query

Ripple is triggered for the users who fall into the query linked to the Ripple.

You will then need to check the filters of the query linked to the ripple to understand why the employee appeared within the query.

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Scroll down to the query that was linked to the ripple and select it.

  3. Click Edit then filters to see how the query is set up.

If you still cannot understand why the ripple has triggered for the employee, you will need to raise a case and provide us with the following information:

  • The user who the ripple triggered for.

  • The date the email was sent.

  • The name of the query and ripple.

  • If there have been any changes to the query or ripple.
