To create this background ripple, you have to build a query to pull the required data. To create a ripple, you will have to follow the below 3 steps in this exact order:
Create a query.
Create the ripple process.
Link the ripple to the query.
Create a query
The first step to build this ripple, is to create a query by following the steps below.
Click Access Button
then click HR Admin.
Click Queries then click the plus + icon.
From the first column, select Start Date, then click Next.
Click Filters & Options, click on Start Date and select the relevant time period. For example:
X Days Before: To show the new starters on the query X days before their start date.
X Days After: To show the new starters on the query X days after their start date.
Last X Days: To show the new starters whose start date in within the past X days.
Next X Days: To show the new starters whose start date in within the next X days.
Click Next, enter a name, description, and category.
Click Next.
Now, you can close the query and follow the next step. You will use this query later in the process.
Create a ripple
Once you've created the query, you need to create the ripple process. To create the ripple, follow the steps below.
Click Access Button
then click HR Admin.
Click Settings then click Ripple.
Click the + icon then select the ripple type as Background.
Enter a name and description then set the employee and manager access.
Add Step:
Select Email the write the contents of the email.
Address the email to the relevant users.
Next to To Address - Employee, select Manager.
Click Save.
Set the status to Active then click Save.
Now that the process is created, you can get to the last step.
Link the ripple to the query
Since you are already on the ripples table screen, follow the steps below.
Next to the ripple you created, click the star icon then click Add New Item.
Enter a name then click the relevant query.
Click the ripple name then enter the relevant number of days to repeat the ripple.
Click Save.
