Automatic tap in not working - 'Not clocked in or out today'

Staff have not checked in today although the location is showing correctly.

If the Automatic tap in tap out option is enabled on your mobile app, but you are not clocked in automatically, this can be due to the device's location settings.

To solve this, firstly, go to PeopleHR Settings on desktop, and increase the Geo fence radius for this location from the Mobile tab.

Once the above has been actioned, ensure that High Accuracy Location is activated for the device. To activate this, follow the steps below:

  1. On your phone or tablet, open Settings

  2. Tap Location

  3. At the top, switch location on.

  4. Tap Mode then High accuracy.

If this fails, follow the steps below:

  1. On your device, open the PeopleHR mobile application and leave it open in the background.

  2. Go to Settings then Apps.

  3. Select the PeopleHR app from the list then tap Permissions

  4. Tap Location and change the Location Permissions from While in Use to Always or All the Time

  5. Once actioned, go to the mobile app

  6. Select Refresh Location under Tap in Out on the main screen.
