User being able to tap in and out outside of their set location

There are locations set for employees but they are still able to tap in and out when they are out of that location.

When setting up locations for Tap In/Tap Out, make sure you don't have the same user assigned to multiple locations that overlap.

You can check this by:

  1. Click Access Button image then click HR Admin.

  2. Click Settings then Mobile.

  3. Click Location then click on the eye icon.

  4. Click on Test rule to see all employees who are eligible for those locations.

πŸ“ŒNote: If users are assigned to more than one location you'll need to make sure the geo fences don't overlap. If there is one location that has an expanded geofence that covers a big area, this is usually the cause when someone is able to tap in and out outside of their location.

If the above has been checked, raise a case with us and mention:

  • A screenshot or a screen recording from user's perspective showing them being able to tap in and out outside of the set locations.

  • A form of evidence to confirm their location at that moment.

  • The version of the app used.

  • Screenshot of the settings showing they enable their location as Always for PeopleHR app.
