System logs the user out while completing a logbook or performance review

Users are being suddenly logged out of the system when they are typing in the Logbook.

This is due to a security timeout set within Settings - Company. The system will automatically timeout after a set period of time due to inactivity within the system.

Activity within the system is considered anything that requires internet connect to process. As typing does not fall under this category, this is not considered as system activity and the system will time out after the set period of time. If data has not been saved before the system times out, this will be lost and is irretrievable.

The maximum time that this timeout can be set to is 55 minutes. It is in the development pipeline to introduce a warning when the system is about to timeout to allow the user to remain logged into the system, however we have no confirmed release date for this as of yet.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused due to this, however this is in place as a security measure and cannot be turned off or extended past the 55 minute limit.

  • To prevent this, save the logbooks or performance reviews regularly or have this inputted on word and pasted into the needed area.
