When you have locations set up in the system, users will be allowed to Tap In and Tap Out when they are within the Geo-Fence of their location.
If you have users who need to have no access to the Tap In Tap Out feature, you will need to create a specific location which is set to the middle of nowhere and then assign the users to this location. This will effectively prevent those users from being able to use this feature as the location is inaccessible.
First, you will need to exclude the users from all active locations in your settings.
Click Access Button
, then click HR Admin.
Click Settings, then Mobile.
For each active location, click on the eye icon.
Enter the user('s) name(s) into the Exclude Employees field, then click Save.
Next, you will need to create a location no access location which is inaccessible.
Click the plus + icon. then select In Use.
Name the location No Access, then enter an inaccessible location.
πNote: It is important to enter a location where the employee can't log in, like another country, to prevent them from tapping in.
Click Find Latitude and Longitude from address, then click Next.
Click Save.
To assign the users to the no access location you will need to.
Click the eye icon for the location you just set up.
Enter the user('s) name(s) into the Specific Employees field.
Click Save.
πNote: If you need to exclude more users than those in the active location, it's simpler to do the opposite of the steps above.
